Can I apply for a Social Security Number (SSN), Colorado Driver’s License, or State ID?

Please visit the websites of the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Colorado Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for the most up-to-date online and in-person services currently being offered. Please also review the ISSS website to request a support letter from ISSS for the SSA or DMV. Be aware that you must have a valid job offer from an on-campus employer or an authorized CPT employer.

Students applying for OPT who do not have a Social Security Number can request one through the OPT application to USCIS.
