After completing the OPT Eligibility Course, you are ready to submit your Post-Completion OPT Request form to request an I-20 with an OPT Recommendation for your application to USCIS. The Post-Completion OPT Request form can be found in the F-1 Practical Training Section of MyISSS.
On the Post-Completion OPT Request form, you will provide ISSS with your requested OPT dates and a copy of your passport or previous OPT EAD Card. You will also need to enter the name and email address of your academic advisor so that they can confirm your eligibility for OPT.
After we have received all the required information, a Specialist will create your I-20 within 10 business days. Please wait to submit your OPT application to USCIS until after you have received your I-20 with the OPT Recommendation.
