If my transcript is not in English, do I need a certified translation before applying?

Yes, a certified translation is required along with the original language transcript and degree certificate/diploma for in-house evaluation. If you are a graduate student and choose or are required to obtain an external evaluation, please contact the ECE or WES evaluation companies directly.

  • If you are planning to have your documents translated in the US, we recommend finding a translator or translation company certified by the American Translators Association (ATA). Please refer to the ATA website for more information.
  • If you plan to have your documents translated by translators in your home country, please ensure that the translation includes the certifier's name, signature, address, and date of certification.
