No, all J-1 scholars must meet our English language proficiency standards. We have recently updated our English Language Proficiency Policy to clarify and streamline the options. We intend to comply with U.S. State Department regulations and to ensure that our scholars have sufficient English Language Proficiency to have the best experience possible in the U.S.
